All you need is newspaper, water and flour and you’ve got yourself a good time! Invite a few friends over and split them up into teams of 2-4. Provide each team with a bowl of paper mache (mix water and flour until it is a milk-smoothie consistency, depending on how thick you like it) and lots of newspaper. Give each team 30-60 minutes and see what they come up with. You can adjust the competition to any theme. Here are just a few ideas:
Bridge Challenge: Have a large jar of water or gallon of milk to serve as your challenge. Each team tries to create a bridge tall enough to have the jar go under it and strong enough to have the jar go on top of it. Of the teams that complete the challenge, the team with the longest bridge wins.
Machetown: Have the teams work together to create a town with different kinds of buildings or even cars. Award teams for their creativity
Piñata Fiesta: Encourage each team to create a paper mache piñata (using balloons as a base). After the piñatas dry you can hold another party to decorate and crack them open.
Easter Mache: Create a large bunny and Easter eggs
